Cinema Paradiso #5 : Male Movie Characters I would Date

 

First, this list contains male movie characters whom I would date, not the most romantic men, not the sexiest male movie characters, and mostly not the most f*ckable male movie characters.  Second, I'm really sorry that I haven't watched (yet) legendary romance films such as Casablanca, Dirty Dancing, Grease, An Affair to Remember, Pretty Woman, Love Story, Ghost, etc.  Third, it's MY list and MY criteria.  Fourth, the sequence in the list is disordered.

Why would I date him?

+ He's funny
+ He's smart and creative
+ He really knows how to have fun

Why would I not date him?

- He can be a bit insensitive to his friends
- He seems too laid-back 

Guido from "Life is Beautiful"

Why would I date him?
 
+ He's an optimistic and cheerful
+ He has great sense of humor
+ He's loyal and protective toward the person he loves

Why would I not date him?

- His occupation is somewhat unstable
- (I think) it can a bit hard to discuss serious stuffs with him

Jesse Wallace from Before Trilogy

Why would I date him?

+ He's not serious and stiff
+ He's open-minded and has broad knowledge
+ He has some wisdom

Why would I not date him?

- He is a horny jerk
- He's a bit passive in house-chores

Why would I date him?

+ His artistic talent is awesome
+ He's brave and has sense of adventure
+ He is open-minded and quite wisdom 
+ He's not boring
+ Those eyes...Oh God...

Why would I not date him?

- He has unstable job/life
- He likes to gamble

Why would I date (one of) them?

+ They're funny and laid-back
+ They're brave and have sense of adventure
+ They're loyal
+ They're creative and quite cunning
+ Their British accent

Why would I not date them?

- They're hard to be serious 
- They're hot-headed
- They can be annoying pricks

Why would I date him?

+ He's REALLY romantic
+ He has strong loyalty toward the people he love
+ He's funny 
+ He's a hard-worker

Why would I not date him?

- He can be a bit pushy
- He's quite stalkish (writing 365 letters without one single reply?)

Why would I date him?

+ He's charming and charismatic
+ He's loyal
+ He's brave 
+ He really tries hard to build Sophie's confidence

Why would I not date him?

- He's a playboy
- He's a bit reckless
- He can be vain and selfish sometimes
- He (used to) pay too much attention on his appearance

Why would I date him?

+ He's a generous (and gorgeous) man
+ He's filthy rich!
+ That deep voice with thick British accent...
+ He's willing to be a better person for the person he loves
+ He admits his mistake to Elizabeth

- He's a stiff person
- He doesn't have sense of humor

- He doesn't really think or see things from his friends' perspective
- He's not 100% truthful or trust his friends
